Position Title:          Insurance Sales Producer
Department:             Sales
Reports To:             Agent, Sales Director

Position Summary:

You are a seasoned salesperson and enjoy the sales process. You are comfortable cold calling either in person or over the phone, networking at chamber events and other types of groups and meeting people. You desire to be part of a team and want to be part of the solution and not the problem.

 Job Functions:

o   Extensive knowledge of commercial & personal insurance coverages

o   Experience conducting needs assessment

o   Strong written and verbal communication skills

o   Drafting prospect proposals and/or presentations

o   Sales forecasting

o   Promptly respond to client needs either on the phone or electronically.

o   Establish new relationships with potential clients and sign them up for insurance.

o   Cold calling over the phone and knocking on doors to offer and sell insurance.

o   Networking at the local Chamber mixers and other professional organizations/associations.

o   Once a product is sold, you will need to fill out appropriate forms and input into the Agency Management System.

o   Cultivate relationships and cross sell additional lines of insurance.

o   Ask for referrals, testimonials, and favorable introductions.

o   Ability to draft invoices & collect payments

o   Working with Agency developing sales campaigns and marketing strategies to cross sell existing.

Additional Duties:

o    To understand and successfully use agency sales automation and other agency technologies.

Requirements & Skills:

o   Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

o   Articulate and professional voice in person and on the phone.

o   Professional wardrobe.

o   Self-starter, driven, can manage rejection well.

o   Confident, energetic, enthusiastic with a sense of humor.

o   Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Platform.

o   Familiar with sales software and other insuratech solutions.

o   Patient, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, supportive, articulate, kind, ethical and honest.

Compensation:

o   We offer competitive commission-based compensation, with bonuses for performance, depending on experience.

Education:

o   High school diploma

Experience:

o   MUST have current and valid P&C Insurance License.

o   MUST have mimimum of one-year sales experience in the insurance industry.

o   MUST be able to provide demonstrated sales achievements.
