About Us

Meet Brian

Brian Jaegers has lived in the Eastern Sierra for the majority of his life, so he understands and appreciates the love for living in the Eastern Sierra. His passion for the area and the community is why he opened Insurance Scouts. It’s where his home is and where he raises a family.

Brian graduated from Bishop High School and furthered his education at California State University of Chico. In his time there, he met his wife, Rachelle, graduated with a dual degree in Finance & Accounting, and completed an internship. After graduating from college, he joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in Sacramento, CA and gained valuable experience in the insurance and financial services field.

Returning Home to the Eastern Sierra

After a few years living in Sacramento, Brian realized how much he missed the Eastern Sierra and secured a job working in insurance in Mammoth Lakes. He’s learned that independence in the insurance business isn’t easy, but independence benefits his clients and the way he serves them. In 2008, Brian opened Inyo-Mono Insurance Services, a multi-line Independent Insurance Agency.

He’s continued his education with American College and graduated with a prestigious designation of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). This is a rigorous eight-course curriculum in advanced insurance and financial protection areas.

Becoming Insurance Scouts to Serve You

In 2016, Brian re-branded the company as Insurance Scouts to better reflect his geographic coverage area. He refined his product offering to serve his clients even better. Brian always operates under the Golden Rule: if he wouldn’t want something as part of his insurance plan, he won’t offer it to you.
